1. SAP
SAP ((i.e. Super Absorbent Polymer, referred to as SAP)has high water absorption and can absorb dozens of times its own weight of water. The water absorption speed can generate gel within seconds, and the volume of the gel can then expand dozens of times; at the same time, it is insoluble in water and has high water retention. The gel after absorbing water is not easy to squeeze out of the water under external pressure.
2. Non woven fabrics
Non woven fabrics, also known as non woven fabric, is composed of fibers directly bonded together by physical methods. It has the characteristics of breathable and waterproof, soft and light, non-toxic and non-irritating. The material used for the surface layer of diapers is non-woven fabric, the most commonly used are hot air non woven fabric and spunbond non woven fabric, among which hot air non woven fabric has better performance.
The surface layer of diapers is in direct contact with the baby's delicate skin and has the longest contact time, so the requirements for the surface layer material must be soft, breathable and non-absorbent.
3. Breathable film
The breathable film is an environmentally friendly functional material that is breathable (vapor) and water-proof (liquid, bacteria, dust). The appearance of microporous breathable film has a history of more than 20 years and has developed rapidly in the past 10 years. China is at the primary stage in terms of technology, market and application.
Polyolefin breathable film, which is made by adding inert fillers to PE or PP carriers, and then forming and stretching the film. The product produces pores due to high-multiple stretching during the film forming process, thus having the functions of breathability and moisture conduction. In short, the function of the breathable film is: water-proof and breathable (moisture). The most commonly used breathable film uses PE as a carrier.
The water-proof and air-permeable properties of microporous breathable membranes are directly determined by their pore size and channel length. If the pore size is too large, urine leakage is likely to occur; if the pore size is too small, it is difficult to breathe.
