Water-absorbing factors, also called water-absorbing polymers, are a kind of super absorbent polymer (SAP for short), mostly sodium polyacrylate, a typical functional polymer material. It is in the form of granular crystals, white and nearly transparent, odorless, non-toxic and non-irritating, and has strong water absorption. It can absorb hundreds or even thousands of times its own weight of water when it comes into contact with water, and has a strong water retention capacity, so it is also called a strong water absorbent or high water retention agent. In addition, it is also a degradable organic substance.
To judge whether a diaper is good or not, is it enough to just look at the amount of water absorption factor in it? In fact, it is not comprehensive.
From the perspective of water absorption effect alone, it can be judged from the following factors: one is the speed of water absorption, the second is the amount of absorption of a single piece, and the third is the backflow after multiple absorption. There is also a key factor, which is also a point that everyone tends to overlook, that is, its flow conductivity. After absorbing the liquid, will it spread quickly and evenly. If the above points are met, then this diaper is a diaper with good water absorption effect.
To choose a good baby diaper, you need to consider its softness, absorbency, absorption capacity, water lock, breathability, comfort, anti-side leakage, etc. If all of these are met, then there is no doubt that this is a good diaper.
In addition, the more water absorption factors, the more absorbent capacity will be, and the maximum amount of water absorption factor in dust-free paper can be as high as 55%. If used as a baby diaper, its amount is about 30~35%.
This means that it is not possible to fully utilize the water-absorbing factor by stuffing more water-absorbing factors into the diaper, because the duration of use and specific circumstances must also be considered. Normally, even the best diapers can only be used for about 2 hours. If the baby poops, it must be changed immediately, otherwise it will easily cause skin problems such as red buttocks!
It can be seen that it is the strong water absorption and water-locking ability of the water-absorbing factor that allows the diaper to have a good absorption effect, but it is not the only criterion for judging the quality of diapers, so when choosing, you should consider many aspects.
