The main differences between the coated film and the laminated film of diapers are their production process, waterproof effect, color, anti-aging performance and usage scenarios.
Production process: The coated film is made by melting plastic and spraying it on the surface of non-woven fabric, with fast production speed and low cost. The laminated film is produced by laminating non-woven fabric and PE film in high-temperature equipment, and the thickness of the two materials can be determined by the raw materials.
Waterproof effect: The coated film achieves waterproof effect through the coated layer, while the lamination film achieves waterproof effect through the compound of non-woven fabric and PE film. Both can effectively prevent liquid penetration, but the laminated film is usually more waterproof because it provides two layers of protection.
Color and anti-aging performance: The coated film may not be as good as the lamination film in color because the coated film does not add anti-aging agents during the production process, so it ages faster in the sun. The PE film used in the composite film has anti-aging agents added before production, so it has better anti-aging effect.
Application scenarios: Coated film is usually used in some cost-sensitive application scenarios due to its low cost and high production speed. Although the cost of lamination backsheet is higher, it is suitable for application scenarios with higher requirements for waterproof performance and longer service life due to its better waterproof effect and anti-aging performance.
